i totally agree with you on all your points about commercials and how celebrities have no reason to do them, but for movies its a big selling point if a celeb like morgan freeman is narrating or one of your fav celebs is in an upcoming animate movie.

Excellent video. Indeed, it is pointless for these big stars to be getting voiceover roles when they don't even have a distinguishable voice. I didn't even realise that Eric Idle and Justin Timberlake were in Shrek 3 until I read the credits (sad thing there is that Idle DOES have a distinguishable voice in all of his other work).

And if there's anything that the current instant fame culture has taught me, it's that fame does not automatically equal talent.

the comedians being the voices for kids movies isnt just for the kids, it really prays on the parents who see who the actors are so maybe theyll take somewhat interest in their kids seeing it. and that logic sells.

@stdukem Hi john I know you did an hopefully still are doing the greatest ass kicker in history voice. What is your view on actors doing voice overs in video games. I know martin sheen did the voice of the illusive man in mass effect 2.

I really liked seeing martin sheen in mass effect 2 but ya John you are right. It pisses me off even more then when football players or such doing it. Hopefully DNF can pay off everything you would ever want.

I honestly feel for you, have read bits on REAL voice talents being unable to find work or being limited to how much they are allowed to take on at one time...unlike these fucking actors who can pretty much do what they want. Thanks for making Duke Nukem so damn entertaining to listen to!
