Having someone like Chief Dan George in this movie depecting the western era is what makes this movie truly priceless... him explaining the way the Native Americans became "Civilized", which now what is happening to NAs all over... some do not embrace their heritage as much as they should, or at all. Instead, the youngsters today rather be something else, other than what their forefathers were.The past beckons us to remember our beginnings... never to stray off of the straight & narrow path.

Josey had a lot of good lines in this great movie. "How is it on stains", "Dyin ain't much of a living", "buzzards gotta eat same as the worms".

haha I always laughed so hard at this scene...At the middle of Chief's speech Josey just left lol and later the Chief continues while he falls sleep hahahaha. You can see the Chief is just an old man that needs some company to listen to him.

A great and touching speach from Chief Dan George. Being sneaked by the white man... this is civilization. And this is the best movie from director Clint Eastwood.
