  • You should heat seal the ends of the ribbon with a lighter so they don't fray at all.

  • I've never tried that, is it easy? I usually use "fray check" on the end of my ribbons, which you can buy at any craft or fabric store. A lighter would be great if I ran out of that stuff or didn't have it handy though.

  • You'd be amazed at how helpful a video like this is! Thank you! I'm the type that needs to be shown up close and personal! ( I was too busy watching what you were doing to notice any nail polish at all!)

  • I'm so glad it was helpful to you! I hoping to make a couple more tutorials sometime this summer. :-)

  • Thanks for the great tip! Would you be able to use a sml circle punch?

  • Yep. A small circle hole punch would work fine as well. You just want to make sure it's sized appropriately compared to the ribbon width. You want it to be a little smaller so the hole doesn't show, but not so small that the ribbon bunches up everywhere.

  • where d'you get pattern paper? i live in singapore and i cant find any nice ones D:

  • @ashleyabat It's not hard, but you do need to be careful with it, or else you could burn something, like your hands, the card, or something else.

  • Thank you for the tip. I have to find a rectangle punch, I dont have one ,,, that will be on my want list .

  • Plain Elmers white glue will work as well as frey check...a lot cheaper.

  • It's a dancer's trick for sewing pointe shoes. When we cut the ribbon for our shoes the length we need them, we use a lighter (or candle) to sort of melt the edges of the ribbons so they won't fray.

  • Yer you don't like light it on fire lol. You just hold the flame close to the edge and it melts =]
