  • What kind of mic are you using? A Shure SM-57? Too Dark!!

  • @philw19642002 No mic was used, all from a camcorder. Sorry the quality sucks, it's been on the back of my mind to redo these with a proper mic.

  • with a better sounding method to record them im sure they sound great. v poor sound quality sorry.

  • I bankrupted myself as a kid to buy a set of these in the late 70s (when they were black label) but have never regretted it and still have them today - I've never heard hi-hats that surpass these and still love their sound

  • Nice bro.... niiiiiiiiice. Your snare sounds like it packs a powerful punch too! What kind of snare is it?

  • That makes a big difference. I hope to be getting a new set of the 2002 sound edge at X-Mas!!

  • this bothers me, i recently learnd that paiste it pronounced pie-stee i always heard and thought it was paste-ee, now it just sounds wierd when i say it cause i sound british.........

  • Hmm it seems this type works very well for open hat but closed it doesn't have the sharp bite that normal hats do.

  • lol.. sound edge fuck me.
