@MaverickIMC Not fake. While the engine is in idle there is no problem. When the engine is fired up and on full throttle you better not be close to that intake. This is not new to the military. He was very lucky that the engine was shut down because his blood could have been sucked out.

@jackmartinlxfs if you actually took the time to read the bible you would know that god sent his 1 son to die for everyone, so that when you die you dont take the consiquences that you should. i dont care if he helped me get sucked into an engine, i know that he saved me and ill be there with him. plus if you expect for everything to go perfect in this whole world then your sadly mistaken

Hands down, this is the BEST documentary on what occurred during this event.

Love the use of the CGI animation to illustrate the flight deck member's brush with death inside the jet's intake flange.

Also, for the haters out there, GOD does care about each and everyone of you, and that GOD's Will is much different from "Man's will". Need to crack open a Bible to see that God allows things to occur for reasons which you and I may never fathom.
