personally I think braces are pointless unless you got some kind of serious bite problem.

Crooked teeth or a 1 mm gap? Big fucking deal. nobody is perfect. as long as it doesn't interfere with your everyday life you shouldn't have to get braces. It's just a way for orthodontics to make money.

I tried eating a sandwich today and DAMN...unbelievably painful especially my 2 top front teeth.

Here are some tips that might help you.

Try eating soft stuff, and if ur teeth really hurt usually after a adjustment, you can try the cold trick. Either try eating ice cream or drink something really cold. what that does it releaves the pressure from the braces. Also post vids when u get ur braces adjusted "tightened" its a good way to keep track of your progress.

I was joking nikkikat, that line is from the Comedy Central series 'Strangers with Candy', the one where Jerry gets braces.

My teeth are terrible in fact, and your braces will be off before you know it.

As I said in another reply, braces harbor plaque (biofilms) and bacteria.

Make sure you brush and use mouthwash as though you had an obsessive compulsive disorder about it; it will help somewhat.
