I am so moved by the comments here in admiration and support for this great activist and scholar Michael Parenti. What is disturbing is most Americans are either ignorant of him, hate him and other social progressives, or dismiss the "radical analysis"(i.e. the truth) as crackpot. On the contrary it is the mainstream in America who are the crackpots, brainwashed sheep. God bless you former Yugoslavians who know that socialism is "of the angels", and western imperialism is "of the devil".

You forget that Tudjman, an Ustasa lover, was NOT very popular in Croatia.

@xMaXiMuSx You forget what was trigger for creating Ustashe. Killing of Stjepan Radić and designation of The January 6th Dictatorship by King Alexander. BTW, Ustashe was not "Nazi trained killers", they were croatian nationalistic organisation.

He was a royalist.. Hitler took over the country and started killing people but nedic was overthrown.. Pavelic and the Ustasa voluntarily allied themselves with Hitler.. But that's not relevant as much because every country that was occupied had an army of local Nazi killers trained and recruited by the Germans. What's relevant is how the Croatians openly praise ustasa and pavelic to this day.. That's like germany praising Hitler and his entire fascist party..
