Doug Coombs worked for years developing powder skis built for adventure and we named this ski in his honor. The Coomba features a tip shape and progressive sidecut that are predictable and forgiving in powder and variable snow. Serious alpinists and aspiring backcountry skiers alike will appreciate the Coomba's balanced flex pattern and 102mm waist width that provide excellent flotation and easy handling. A percentage of all Coomba ski sales will be donated to the Coombs family. K2 will also donate a portion of the proceeds to the American Mountain Guide Association's Chad Vanderham Endownment, which is focused on improving guide education and safety.

  • That's Sherwood back bowl at Alpine Meadow. Off-piste? Ok, but I've seen better conditions there. Looked like he was skiing on slush. I wanted to see how well the ski float but can't tell. BTW, are you the skier in the video? How are the skis ?

  • Sherwood was closed when we filmed this... we tried our best but April at Alpine is a dicey time to film... but thats not me skiing and from the guys I know who have em really like them for a backcountry ski and a traditional feeling ski since everything is going more rocker....

  • why is the guy skiing on-piste when it's a off-piste ski ? LOL

  • did you actually watch the video? sorry but that's all off-piste... Might not be the best skiing in the world but thats off-piste

  • Yo los utilizo en telemark y realmente son otro mundo. La sensación es flotación asemeja al esqui acuatico y te mantienes en superficie tanto con polvo como con primavera.

Y su peso es realmente pluma.

  • Great skis, I have them. Floats like a dream

  • GARAGEBAND!
