every time i hit record on audacity, a message keeps popping up that says; "Error while opening sound device.Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate."

@OmenDrals Yeah, and make sure you save AS, not simply save. :)

@ThatzNOTmetaL You should be able to do that in Audacity easily. :) The most primitive thing that comes to my mind is simply cut off all the tracks and leave one in, save, undo, cut off everything but second track, save... yeah, not impressive, but must work! :D
