Most of the problems in the world come down to failures of the imagination. Demonstrations where people are trying to counter the government's failures of imagination - repressive laws, rights violations, economic oppression - with slogans like "what do we want? __! when do we want it? now!" just seem like more failures of imagination to me.

It's not an issue of whether or not you have the right to yell "theater!" in a crowded fire. It's whether you have the courage and imagination to do so.
