Around the patch in a Kitfox Model 2 with a Rotax 582 two stroke engine. Lifts off at 30 mph, climbs at 900 to 1000 fpm @ 60 to 70 mph @ 5800 rpm, cruises 80 to 85 mph @ 5000 rpm, full stall 3 pt landing at 30 mph.

  • hi,planenut,check your mail as written to you,are you using b or c type g'box on this plane as really want to know how you get this performance at relatively low rpm's, also what prop ? cheers mike

  • @flymadmike1 Sent you an email - but for other's curiosity, it's a C 3:1 gearbox with GSC wood ground adjustable 3 blade prop set to about 5600 rpm static. Keeps the EGT's within limits as it keeps the engine under load...

  • @stanLSD40 Fuel capacity is about 14 gallons and consumption is about 3.5 to 4 gph at 80 mph. More of a local fun flyer than a cross country machine...
