This effect based on Dai Vernon's classic plot is direct and performed in the hands. A card selected is completely lost into half of the pack, which is face down. The other half is face up, and the two halves are then weaved together. The cards are clearly shown to be mixed, and with a gesture, the pack rights itself and strange enough one card reveals itself to be the only card left behind.

other than the clip-shift to restore the deck, i gotta say i don't like the unnecessary moves being put into the effect i.e the throwing and cutting after the 2 halves are shuffled together. i find myself a little flustered as soon as the little fancy cuts are thrown in straying my focus away from the trick itself; maybe it's because the video cuts off in random spots that i find myself confused or it's just your style. regardless, i feel if i as a magician can't follow along, how can laymen?

hmmm, if the spec knows you can shuffle and handle cards that well during a triumph routine then its by no means a stretch of the imagination that you could re-order the cards. Also after watching the Chad Nelson Clipshift DvD you can see that this trick is pretty much the same deal, just more convincing. Didnt mean to lay into you at all, obviously got some flow to your magic and it looks good, very prof.
