30 minutes on the beach at night = 10 seconds of time-lapse footage demonstrating the awesome power of nature. In the last few frames, you can see the deluge coming. I had to make a run for it. =)
Awesome... however the flashes are too jarring and the clip could be longer. A great way to enhance this awesome footage is to time stretch it x2 or x3 and then use simple frame blending to smooth it out. Try it!
Thanks! Yes, I'm familiar with those techniques. Just personal preference but I like the "crisp" flashes. I wish it was longer but in the last few frames you can see the wall of rain headed my way! The wind had picked up considerably and I was down on the beach with no cover nearby. As I said in my description, I had to make a run for it.
I see you mention Koyannisqatsi on your page. That film was my inspiration to experiment with time lapse. =)
