  • @JustSpectre you have to admit, they did a very poor job of representing the inhabitants of Catalhoyuk. Biologically they are exactly the same as us, including intelligence wise, so why depict the inventors of civilization as ape-like brutes when really their genius has rarely been matched since. The population of ancient Athens was only around 15,000 whilst Catalhoyuk which preceded it by over 4,000 years is nearly half that size.

  • In archaeology there is problem how to present it's results to ordinary people and the only reasonable way is a RECONSTRUCTION. And this is exactly what this video is about. It tries to reconstruct a way of life in the ages long lost from the memory of mankind and represented only by preserved artefacts such as ceramics and stone tools.
