This is my birthday present for my best friend, Brett. Dude, I would have made you a GLADIATOR video if my footage weren't so wonky in Sony Vegas, lol. I'll try to make you one next time ;)
Anyways, I realized, while trying to think of what to make for your birthday, that you and I are kind of similar to Zack and Cloud in FFVII. Like Zack, you are strong, brave, funny, loyal, are always there for me (even when you're nto actually here), pick me up when I've fallen, bring me back from the dark, are a source of complete inspiration, and are my absolute best friend.
And, like Cloud, I look up to you so much. I admire your tenacity, your inner brilliance which allows everyone around you to be illuminated, how you don't always get angry and give into the darkness as I do, and the fact that you are probably one of the best people on this planet.
I chose this song because not only do we both love OneRepublic, but the idea that we are the "right friends in all the wrong places" seemed to fit: we're both so far away at our different universities during most of the year, which is definitely when I miss you the most.
So I know I'm 1 day late with this (I edited for 3 straight hours and still missed the deadline), but I hope you enjoyed your birthday and, heck, celebrate one extra day, lol. :)
