How to properly feed live prey to your snake.

This is just my suggestion. I have seen horrible bites from owners not feeding responsibly. This snake ended up costing me more than my pastel female after Vet fees from bites and improper care.

i didnt poke it, i was holding the teeth of the rat. it will prevent a possibly expensive and detrimental feeder bite to my snake.  he eats frozen very easily now. so no more live feedings.

nevermind, i see what you were talking about, i havent seen that video in soo long. i poke it to make sure that he is squeezing as hard as he can for a fast kill, it if doesnt move he will loosen up and open himself to injury.

@lllstupidmovieslll So you think pet snake owners are disgusting human beings. I own a Ball python also called Royal pythons myself; their truly beautiful animals. She’s only 16 inches long and feeds on live baby mice. As soon as she gets older though I want to feed her pre-killed mice/rats.

@TheArmoredPython kept royals for years never had to feed (risk ) live feeds just thaw out a pre killed and warm the feeder animals head under a warm tap use tongs and present it to the snake most will take it !

i think it is wrong to use the tongs to prevent the mouse from defending itself. in the wild, animals were made to eat each other. every animal gets a defense system. if the snake kills the rodent. it is fair for it to defend or fight back. if you're disgusting enough to actually keep a snake inside as a pet. and feed it live animals. u might as well feed the snake in a natural way.don't stick tongs in the bloody rodents mouth.

thats is also wat i do for my colombian boa since he prefers live over pre-killed i latch on the rats mouth with my tong and use my hands to hold on onto the rats hind leg to prevent it from scratching my boa
