A lente de contato RGP Ultraflat Asférica foi desenvolvida para casos de pós-transplante de córnea, pós-cirurgia refrativa e pós-trauma ocular. Seis casos de extrema complexidade adaptados com sucesso com esta lente.
Although these patients are fine wearing their large diameter corneo-scleral lenses they may be fit with the new Ultraflat Semi-Scleral Bastos lens with overall diameter ranging from 14.5 up to 17.0 mm. It is a whole different concept of contact lens fitting and the mean objetive of this type of fitting is to achieve total corneal clearance and the fit will resume to the scleral (white) portion around the cornea and also the SSB lens should be filled with preservative free saline solution.

Fluorescein is instilled on the cornea to evaluate the tear laywer by the practitioner who is examining the patient. If there is any damage to the corneal ephitelium it will be shown at the cobalt blue filter which turns the fluorecein green.
The two lines you mentioned may be due of a lens dislogment however if it happens again, go see ya doctor, ok?

hey thanksfor that! what is fluorescein compund? is that normal to be in the eye? ru an opthalmologist btw? u seem to know so much. see the second bit of ur answer where u talk about corneal scarry and hipoxia, was that the answer to my second question? soz got a bit confused ther.

Hi urbankurri1,
The green aspect you see is the result of a very small amount of fluorescein compound (it is orange in white light) that becomes green because the cobalt blue filter light that is being project at the cornea. It means that there is sufficient and well spread tear layer under the lens and it kepts being exchanged at every blink, which in turn prevents corneal scarry and hipoxia (lack of oxigen).
Hope that this anserw was satisfatory :-)
Cheers,
