@DieselsAndDiodes It's a continuous miner. Underground mines range in height from 3 feet up to 60 or 70 feet depending on the material mined so this machine would fit in perfectly in a limestone mine.
Road headers are used for underground tunneling and mine entrances.. Did they have to go up the toowoomba range? would have made a good video putting all power to use..
what is that piece of equipment used for? looks similar to mining equipment but it's so tall. I guess it could be used to efficiently dig into rock faces or anything above ground level, with that scooping setup in front.
This doesn't look anywhere near 550,000 lbs.
