  • What are you talking about? It's perfectly in sync! Maybe the dotted rythm is throwing you off.

I also find it incomprehensible that you think this lacks spirit.

  • Did you really just say this lacks spirit???

And you do know this is Baroque music right? Large dynamic shifts and broad melodic ranges were not something of this era...so although it may 'lack spirit' to you, its just a matter of actually knowing what your listening to...

  • BEAUTIFULL, EXCELLENT, GREAT

  • @Jovomusic

Do not apologize for your English please. It's better than that of many an American. And Norway is a very interesting country.

United and loyal until the mountains of Dovre crumble. I like that.

    :)

  • I lay my sword down. I listen again and again and...I love it. it is precise, wonderfull and touches my heart emencly.. Sorry for my poor english...I am Norwegian of language...

  • @Jovomusic I guess you are right about listening in different moods, but one thing you can't possibly say is that this performance is lifeless and souless.

  • @Zordan60 I am listening once again...now with less sence...but more emotion... it is wonderfull. sometime when in other mood, it get another carahcter and color, but i asume it is natural...And I dont need to argue my taste. only performances... and , yes truly I also like this one...

  • @Jovomusic What the hell are you talking about??!! There is no point to even argue with you. You are obviously new to HIP and listening to baroque music the way it should be played.

  • @Jovomusic I would have thought if you listened to Baroque music every day you might know how to spell Baroque

  • @TheCrazyCello ...suffer from a lack of "depth" and end up sounding very flat. Most recordings coming from the continent now sound much more vibrant, with each section or even instrument individually recorded, you get a much more "live" sound than you do with UK recordings. Hyperion is the worst offender for listless and flat production values, but by no means the only label with this problem.

  • @HARMONICO101 I think the Jovomusic is confused by the bass playing on the 2nd beat of the bar. However I don't find it incomprehensible that they would find it lacks spirit. I often find I'm underwhelmed by recordings of british bands, especially the AAM. It just sounds listless and dull - particularly lacking in bass. I don't think it's the musicians themselves, since british bass players are renowned for their energy. I think it's backwards recording techniques and a lot of ambient recordings

  • What is the information for the painting?
