Mark Gilston plays two Bavarian zweifachers on mountain dulcimer: Bayischer Bauer and Wintergrün. a zweifacher is a folk dance which has different measures in two rhythms, waltz (3/4) and pivot (2/4). Each zwiefacher has a different pattern of waltz and pivot steps, and much of the fun of the dance is in figuring out the pattern. Zwiefachers are danced in parts of southern Germany and in the Czech Republic. The dulcimer was made by David McKinney.

Lovely! Are you going to publish the tabs? What where your sources? Thanks!

@fo76 These are old classics from my folk dancing days. I haven't worked out tab for them. I'm hoping someday to publish a book of central and eastern European tunes for dulcimer, but I've got several other projects which come first.
