Tony Bennett is a great American in every way possible. He really did bring country music mainstream as a starter.
My mother loved him and one of my happiest times with her was seeing him live.
And now he's really a living legend - he's bringing kids to understand the fantastic Great American Songbook and understand real music.
And he's always been a liberal who lived it and still speaks the truth. 85 and going stong! Love you so much, Anthony!

To imply that Tony Bennett is racist in any form is so ridiculous it offends the social conscious. Tony marched with MLK. JFK was opposed to Tony appearing at his inauguration just like he liked Sammy Davis Jr. but felt he was controversial. JFK had not the balls, but Tony did. Tony opposed his own financial interests in order to support the Civ Rights Movement 40 years ago. Anyone who suggests that he is less than a hero on race relations is a fool, a hater, and his own denier.
