Give the people what they want, says the director. If they want that smooth, refined and melancholy Brook Benton sound with go-go dancers, then so be it! That's show biz!

@rcaiv I got that in the first place, its was just distracting to me because they weren't really keeping any beat with the music is all I was saying. I get the distracted when people are dancing so off beat.

Is it just me or does any one else get distracted trying to figure out what some of those girls are dancing to?

@dimestore1 LOL

DAYyum I LVOE this video... girls dancin' around like they got itchy woo-woo, but are not allowed to use their fingers to scratch

2:30 seriously?

The song is so slow and the girls are dancing so fast... Lol. Nice song though.

I don't ever remember seeing Brook Benton do a number such as this one with the go-go dollies dancing on the set with him, this is so out of synch as far as the music at hand verses the dancing they are doing. Come on, the girls are superimposed somehow, right? God, they are so out of place in this I'm surprised Brook Benton could even keep his train of though on the lyrics. Otherwise, great tune. I love Brook Benton's music. Thanks for posting.

Are these girls having a fucking STROKE??? Lmao.

I like how they didn't take this video too literally. They just let the song speak for itself. ;-) All kidding aside, I'm loving these scopitone videos. I've never seen them before now. Thanks for posting them!
I'm tired of lyrics being so abstract and ironic. I really appreciate Mr. Benton making a music video masterpiece that really helps me understand his music. For example, when he says "you've got the world on a string," I know that he is actually talking about a string connected to earth and not some intellectual metaphorical bullshit. Why can't everything be this clear?
