@loopba bose stands for Buy Other Sound Equipment, imo bose is the definition of the worst audio big bucks can get. Audioengine offers quality, at a price as low as possible. Even the Audioengine 2 are gorgeous speakers, despite their low price.

@blakey1772 you must have mistaken seriously, mp3 320kbps already offers very good quality and only with high end equipmentes and only some people can hear differences between mp3 320kbps and flac. if you are playing mp3 128kbps ofc flac will be much better, but between mp3 320kbps and flac even playing great recordings like diana krall, miles davis and cassandra wilsom, most people won't be able to tell any difference at all, even if they use customs in ears like jh13pro or sennheiser hd800.

Where can I buy that sync cable?

The a5 plus comes with a remote control. This one does not. Does that mean that this one will not accept a remote control signal? Or does it just not come with that part?

is FLAC really that much better over mp3 320k? i thought the speakers them selves are what make it all sound great? will i be blown away by my ipod connected to these?
my worry is the difference over entry level pc speakers isnt that much. my current speakers are very clear up to about 60% volume on most songs. i hope these sound amazing at really high volume.

Yes, both a stereo 3.5mm and left/right RCA jacks are on the rear of the left speakers for any low level audio signal from a mp3 or computer audio output.
