@PropagandaBuster seeing as they were 25 miles off the shore of australia, i'm pretty sure that they knew they would be brought back to australia as opposed to japan if they returned to port.

@ednakano1 the volunteers are fully aware of the dangers they face. they are chosen specifically because they are willing to risk their life for a whale. they have every right to make that decision, and no one can blame SSCS because it is possible that they may face a life threatening situation, because they have allowed themselves to be placed at risk at will.

@Steve3b7 the japenese have never been endangered by SSCS, and steve irwin has NEVER harmed any animal. get your facts straight, you low life ass.

@SapporoMagokoro i hope the whalers are shut down and you never see a whale product again in your sorry worthless little life.

@TatsushigeJapan well seeing as the whalers are the ones who are murderers, and the activists are the ones who are trying to save lives, i don't think the activists are the ones who should be hung. our oceans are dying and the whalers and people who support them or consume their products are causing this to happen.

@paintedmind maybe these people have passion for what they do-- speaking as someone who wants to join them when i'm old enough, i can tell you that i certainly do. "any cause that comes their way" is a cause worth fighting for. they've saved thousands of whales, seals, dolphins, sharks, and fish. our oceans need sea shepherd, not selfish and ignorant fools such as yourself.

Aside from "luring" the Shonan Maru No.2 away from the Sea Sheperd. It looks as if their goading the Japanese into crashing them into the sea. Personally I think the 3 activists were Insane for using such a daring move. In-fact, stupider then the people who try to conceal drugs whilst overseas in a country that SERIOUSLY condones drug trafficking getting themselves years of jail-time.
These three men bargained with their lives, its a shame they weren't trialed simply for something so stupid.

@dominateofficial...There ISN'T a blackmarket for whale meat in Japan. Selling whale meat isn't illegal here. I can go to the local supermarket and buy it for about $18.00 per lb. The International Whaling Commission issues whaling permits to Japan EVERY YEAR allowing them to hunt whales Did you know that Europe hunts more whales than Japan? The Fin whale is an endangered species and Iceland has killed HUNDREDS of them in the last few years. Japan has taken 14 since 1986.

@dominateofficial There are many kinds of whales. Japanese whalers do not catch blue whales.
