@mrdlclay Agree! I have never heard a male voice that has the range and beauty of Luther. I would say Whitney Houston is the female equivalent. However, her choice of music is a bit too pop for me to appreciate as high art.

@DUGMAC1973 .It's a shame you didn't see Luther live.....I bought my wife the tickets for Xmas in the 80s, he cancelled through illness and we had to wait till the following September....I tell you, it was the best thing I ever waited for in my life, he was absolutely brilliant, so sorry he's been taken from us.
