This film known as a "Soundie" was released in the 40's for use in a Panoram Video Jukebox. It was projected on a screen inside the machine and you looked down through the viewing screen to a mirror that reflected the motion image. You will notice that all the credits and other word content are reversed - I am still trying to figure out how to correct that issue.

Wow. I've been looking for this performance ever since I saw the PBS documentary on the Soundies. Could you possibly upload Frances Faye's performance of "Well Alright"? I believe that was the name of it. Thanks again for this.

- Sorry, I don't possess that Soundie - I am uploading these from the original films that were a part of my uncle's film collection. Hope you find it.

This is a extremely rare piece of entertainment history you have shared with a global audience to enjoy and learn from! The pretty lady is Frances Faye.
One easy way to fix soundie reverse orientation is to re-record the video in Windows Movie Maker and select the special effect called "mirror-horizontal". You can also fix out of sync soundtracks easily with the same program. Depending on your source master, you may need to convert it to a format the program recognizes.

Thanks for the input - I searched to see if anyone else was presenting it and as they were not I thought I would. I will check out that window movie maker program - I about lost my mind trying to do it with the program I am using.

Ms. Faye also portrayed Madame Nell in 1978's Pretty Baby.
