  • Does the patient see any lights from the machines in the room?

Is there ever a pulse oximeter in the room that the patient can see?

  • All the equipment used are hidden inside a drawer/cabinet next to the bed. We use a pulse oximeter that's taped to the patient's fingers.

  • Most sleep lab's equipment doesn't have anything the patient can see. They only see the wires they are hooked up to. All the information goes to a separate office space where technologists are monitoring. Also, what do you mean by nightmirror? You never want to wake a sleeping patient! If a vital piece of equipment goes bad, the patient's life is in danger, or its time for cpap are usually the only exceptions.

  • I'm sorry.

    I didn't see any reply.

If someone were to open the drawer, would they see any flashing lights or would they see their own oxygen levels?

Do you guys have the Ohmeda 3760P oximeter which has black numbers on a green backlit background?

So, can you tell if someone is having a nightmirror?

Do you wake them up if that ocurs?

  • I didn't see any reply.

  • If the patient were to open the drawer, would he see anything like lights, numbers, or anything going up and down?

Do you use the Ohmeda 3760P?

It is a pulse oximeter with black numbers on a green lit background.

If the o2 levels drop below a certian level, a red light flashes on the left of the machine.

The blue button turns it on.
