  • and I was worry about next kids DEAF was same me. I not want see deaf kids grow will education will stuck with 3-4 grade are all life.. most 90% hearing parent's deaf children become adult will like 2-4 grade from Oralist school. 10% deaf parent's deaf children become adult will like 5-8 grade from deaf family and deaf school. I beg most hearing parent listen and learn from deaf family, deaf family will help hearing parent

  • @Derikgolf78 You obviously got your implant too late..they work very well for some people and deftness is not the only way..you should not judge everyons situation as if it were your own..your path is not the only one.

  • @Derikgolf78 your statistics are old..with new programing technology and bilateral implants they are no longer stuck at a3-4 grade level. In a regular school my son has more acess to sound and speaking people. He also has a state of the art fm system that makes the teachers voice seem right next to him..its ausome and he is already almost caught up to hearing kids of his own age. Deftness used to be permanent but it is not anymore.

  • wow that is so fantastic that now days ppl who are deaf can have a chance at hearing awesome and its a good thing that you did it earlier then later that way he'll lean it faster kids are awesome that way good luck and love to you

  • @itsJENNY2u I respect it's your opinion. Bi BI didn't working for me. I am not only one who I am poor in English. It was not my faulted. Why is many deaf people's English grammar is poor?? Because of lacking the speech skill and use ASL all the times. I am in both of side Deaf/Hearing world. I don't need to be involve with ASL vs Oral WAR. I'm both signing and speak as an equal.

  • @itsJENNY2u I was a native SEE user then exposed to ASL at Deaf Camp then go to Deaf School. I found it out my English was poor because of Deaf School changed my communication method to ASL/Bi Bi from SEE. I lost my speech skill because of ASL. The Deaf School wanted me to be Anti-Oral role model and against CI. I think it's not right to force all hearing parents to learn ASL or BI BI. They have right to make a decide do best for deaf and hard of hearing children.

  • I think that asl is good to know I also suggest learning to lip read also. Not everyone can sign.

  • Are u saying only people that have cochlear implants are killing themselves? Let's be realistic there is a lot more going on in their life to cause the depression.

  • Please consider if ASL is a good second language for your kid.

  • @BionicGeekChic you make a compelling argument with your broken English. well done. i don't even need to debate how your theory is moot. i'm a native ASL user whose 2nd language is English. you guessed it; i'm bilingual-bicultural.

  • @Jojo199470 what are you talking about?? you got a messed up perspective on reality.

  • @kalijasin There are a lot of people who commit suicide. This is wrong. But it has to do with being depressed a chemical unbalance not do to cochlear implants. Don't be stupid.

  • @kalijasin being sent to these school cost a lot of money. Not every parent has the money to send their kid away to school. Get over your hurt find a better doctor and get cochlear implants. You would love them. Ii do.
