  • @Asil: coming from you, this nice comment made my day!

@chicaeon: you're right I couldn't show all the stores; this being said, most shops do not change much with BeStyle, as there is trust between all parts involved. This is also why I've stayed with them from day one. Some might offer me more money, but I'd rather cherish that trust I share with Bestyle ;-)

  • @Themeritcoba: Indeed it is a prestigious award since the competition is dire in SL.

The super short takes are made on purpose, (there are only two by the way), yet the first 39 seconds are only made of designers brand names, as well as the slow pans on shop (from minute one to minute two).

The Je Suis ... IMHO, would have no meaning for me if I didn't show BeStyle's owner at the end, then ending the sentence and coming full circle in so doing ^^

  • Love it Tikaf! Wonderful video :-)

  • I loved those short flip shots timed to the music. Lots of work but some impact there :D. I didn't actually "get" the bookmarking with the je suis from the beginning until I read comments here -- LOL. Sometimes I am dense. But a good job for sure. I suspect that the point wasn't to show all the stores (which may actually change over time as things move so quickly in SL) but to emphasize the shopping experience. Go forth. Rattle chains *wink*.

  • I saw the movie again and you are right about the shots.. with he je suis ending in meant ending with Je Suis and then ending with the owner name.. lol.

But nevermind.. it's not that important.

  • Nice work, TIkaf. Good to see a nice shopping district presented with such grace.

  • The best Shopping Region Award of 2011? Lol? Maybe a good award, considering all the shops in sl.

    Anyway...

It starts out great with the 'je suis', then the movie teetered out a bit.

The end was a bit of a surprise: why not end with 'Je suis'..? Seems obvious and it makes the movie come full circle.

I think the takes are to short, some are under a second hence I can't recall any of the shops except for Fellini as that is a movie director and the BeStyle logo. Maybe that was the intention.
