2 channel amps = music
Multichannel amps = movies/gaming
I've gone back to 2 channel and In a big way. 2 monoblock NAD 2200's Modded create such a sound field that 2 speakers are enough.

wow you have the 683's RL ,HTm61, 684 SR in the small room listening to music from your computer. its scattered everywhere but most of all he is having fun with it, and that is the point whether you have a set HT room or just a small room fill it with sound, the sound that makes you smile. cheers enjoy
