BOXES - 2009

Following the spectacle of Dodgems at the Dublin Theatre Festival last year, CoisCéim returns with BOXES, a finely balanced magical and memorable comic dance theatre for all the family.

Choreographed and Directed by CoisCéims Artistic Director David Bolger, d ance, imagination and spectacle are packed away in this touching duet for two men. With a pulsating sound score, animation and opulent design, BOXES reaches out to the heart and brings you on a journey of discovery. Cardboard boxes build an environment that sets off a chain of events for the dancers to play within. Ideas and discoveries are collected and transformed when two factory workers start a day at work with a difference.

Broadway dancer Jason E. Bernard and Lee Clayden, twice voted Outstanding Male by the Critic's Choice Circle return to perform in BOXES 2009 to reveal just how fragile our house of cardboard can be.
