Many pinion gears (without a set screw) are held onto the motor shaft by friction. Forcing the pinion gear off or on will damage either the motor or pinion gear. Heating the pinion gear with a torch prior to removing or attaching it will avoid damage.

  • can i put a brush less motor in a 9101 helicopter

  • @iamgeorgiaman No, a brushless motor won't work in the 9101.

  • wat if i use a normal torch??Will it still work??

  • @AdamSam18 Yes, just be sure that you don't cook the motor.

  • Many thanks for this video? what about plastic pinion gears

  • @MuhsinTheMomin Plastic pinion gears are much easier to put on and pull off. Don't heat them because that will ruin their shape.
