A year later and a smarter pirate I am. My Byte is a hybrid Byte between this one and the CII, Like this baby I have the aluminum mast and boom and the nylon North sail, My rigging has the integrity of the CII which I appreciate. It's still great having you as a resource. Now I'm working on my timing in getting across and under the boom in jybes and come abouts: it's a balance and clearance issue.
you haave become one of my best friend... I'm rigged much tidier. Stilll on a learning curve with the outhaul. I've got pulleys, and elastic cord.... getting closer but not yet efficent.
I have more blocks, more cleats and more pulleys on my byte. But yesterday I was better rigged than my experience before watching your production, Does anyone out there know if an aluminum mast can be bent? I get sail shape, (but I don't see the cunningham on my boat whose sail is similiar to this, ) but not bending the mast with the cunningham. What I think happens is that the cunningham moves center of effort from leech to luff w/o mast bend. Do I need more muscle???
Excellent ino sharing!!! I've owned a Byte for a year and I'll sail it tomorrow... wish I would have thought to search this resource sooner. More after I hit the h20
