I feel bad for John L; he didn't exactly come into a great situation and things just got progressively worse. He didn't have an signature wins, either Big Ten or non-conference, and as many others said he couldn't keep the teams motivated. I certainly wish him well in the future.

I personally liked John L. I thought he was a solid coach who put a good and competitive team out on the field. His main flaw was keeping the team motivated after a big loss early on. This was the story almost every season.
Dantonio is the man though.

Maybe my memory is getting bad, but I cannot even remember the last time Notre Dame beat MSU in South Bend, aka Spartan Stadium South. But feel free to keep talking trash, thinking it's still 1977 or something.

LOL. You call back-to-back winning seasons "lucky" ? You think great recruiting for the last few seasons, including getting the #1 consensus player in Michigan this year (Will Gholston) , is not going to make MSU better?? What are you ON??
You call going into halftime with a score differential of a field goal "slaughtered"? Georgia only took the fourth quarter to win the game. Clearly you haven't watched Coach D do ANYTHING except go 2-0 against ND.

So if Michigan State getting beat by 12 is getting slaughtered then what is losing by 17 to Michigan State cough cough Notreshame cough cough. Face it ND is pathetic and MSU isnt. So go ahead now brag to me about the 1920s and see how much I care about a team that hit it's ceiling almost 70 years before I was born becuase I would love to hear some stories about Knute Rockne and the four horsemen.
