MEET SEAN HYUMSUNG PLANK
Sean started dancing in Sacramento when he was 16 years old with Infinite Motion and went on to dance with Pulse Dance Ensemble and the Sacramento Kings Royal Court Dance Team. He received his formal dance training through the scholarship programs at Steps on Broadway in New York City and Defore Dance Center in Orange County. Sean also trained on scholarship with Ballet Pacifica for 2 years and was a featured performer at the Disneyland Resort from 2003-2005. He is a former Dance major at Cal State Long Beach, where he also danced and choreographed for PAC Modern from 2002-2006. After graduating from college, Sean moved to San Francisco for graduate school while dancing and choreographing for Phoenix Dance Company and BASIC Contemporary Jazz Collective. He is currently on scholarship with Funkanometry SF and has been a returning guest artist for their company class. Sean has also been a guest teacher and choreographer for various dance studios, middle schools, high schools, colleges, and universities throughout California. His style is an eclectic blend of contemporary dance, ballet, and hiphop, and in order to truly understand his movement style, you have to experience one of his classes.
