Dogfish Head Palo Santo is an American Brown ale which comes in at a whopping 12 % abv. It is aged in palo santo wood from Paraguay. The beer pours a thick deep dark brown, and is visibly viscous. The aromas are molasses, muddled dark berries, baker's chocolate, bourbon soaked raisins, and a kick of alcohol burn. The boozy dark berries and caramel follow through in the taste, but a nice bit of tang helps to balance the sweetness. This is a sipper...by a fire.. not a drinker at the beach! Beer Advocate gave it a A- , Rate Beer gave it a 99 and I gave it a 4.5 ! LOVE

  • @arrogantbastardale I couldn't have said it better myself. When ppl call something a 'girly' beer, I understand that what they mean is that it's a gateway beer, or a nube beer or maybe even a pansy beer. It's no wonder that women are nubes to the world of craft beer seeing that sales and marketing have been focused solely on males for quite awhile. It's become even somewhat of a cultural stigma that women should drink sweet pink drinks and leave beer for the men folk. I personally see it as an

  • @brianbalt85 you are absolutely right! I cringe when I watch all my videos, but less and less as I go on haha

  • It's cool that more girls are doing beer reviews. I've never had this one but they only have them in 22 oz bombers here in Baltimore.

  • @beernoob I'm pretty excited to see my friends getting into craft brew too! There's nothing gender specific about liking to drink stuff that tastes awesome, so I'm just hoping to keep promoting the craft beer movement.

  • gregsbeerreviews is better and cooler.

  • @iamnewhYbrid I like Greg's stuff a lot too.

  • What a refreshing take on beer reviews, Most of the "beertubers" are almost impossible for me to sit through an entire video but I cannot turn yours off! Good job

  • Madison what happened to the beer videos? Haven't seen one in a while. We miss our weekly beer education : )

  • short sweet and 2 the point great review!!!

  • Just discovered your reviews, nice to see such a sweet, gorgeous gal enjoying and even reviewing great beers like Palo Santo Marron and Parabola... two of my favorites. Looking forward to seeing more... if only just for that smile! :)

  • Damn this girl knows what she's talking about I like it :)

  • @WinoBeeroFoodo I also never understood the idea that beer is "manly". There is nothing specifically "manly" about having an advanced pallet, and that is all that is required to appreciate craft beer. For centuries women made beer, not men. I read an article on a beer website that women are the future of craft beer. The more women that are involved, the stronger the industry will become. Your youtube chan plays a part in that I think. Anyway, cheers and keep doing reviews please!

  • @WinoBeeroFoodo If you look at some of your first videos, you will see that you have improved an amazing amount. I think you are doing a great job. Editing is yet another skill to master in the quest for video excellence ;) I hope you can get back to making videos regularly once you get settled down again.

  • Ya man, this has to be one of DFH's best beers they make. Good in depth review of it. I like the background too.
