@oboistru2 You are so wrong. There is no panic or subjectivity in this grown-up performance. The pitch accuracy is unbelievable and the logic from one phrase to another is marvelous.

what a masterpiece! I get as many chills listening to this as playing 1st violin in the orchestra.

Did any of you listen to the applause he used to receive after concerts in the end of his career (80s-90s) ? They weren't that stormy, not that he wouldn't have deserved them; it's just that his interpretations would go that deep into one's inner world, they wouldn't feel the need to burst out. They were in the aftermath of a.. rather powerful.. natural phenomenon..
