158 BC, I figure I've waited long enough. Time to invade Carthage. Showcased is my main plan and execution of the North African invasion while the main Carthaginian armies are in Libya and Egypt. This is Part 1. Part 2 is linked at the end of the video. Audio quality during battle is meh; it'll be improved in future vids. I skip a lot of the invasion because it's mostly waiting out sieges. Krete has 6-7 stacks of troops so I wanna get to that quickly.

This series is a campaign "summary" as doing a full Chronicle would be insanely long. Showcased in the future will be the Marian Reforms, the Invasions of Crete, Gaul, Britannia, Germany, and the end of the campaign in Dacia and Syria. The game is played on VH/M difficulty setting as recommended by the EB team. Remember that if you decide to play EB, ALWAYS activate the background script everytime you load a savegame.

720p HD is available.

DISCLAIMER: Remember that this is the internet. Do not take my historical info for granted as it could very well be wrong.

  • talk about war on all fronts...

  • @Thermalburn. indeed. Roman diplomacy at its best.

  • Hey Aceblazer, whats the name of the mod you use to change the carthaginian and eastern hellinic city models on the campaign map?

  • @crackshack2, sorry I don't think it's an official mod. I only got it because a friend gave it to me. I'm not sure where to actually download it.

  • I remember first time I played EB I camped out until 242 so I could destroy everyone with the reformed units.

Needless to say, I was incredibly pissed when Hastati and Principes gained one defense, and Triarri losted some.

  • @stingray970, yep the biggest advantage though is that the area of recruitment increases nicely.

  • @loloferrero21XD, it's 190 BC, that's basically two RTW vanilla games done with the 4 turns per year script. Most of my cities are huge populations with lots of buildings. Spain & Asia Minor has lots of mines, and Greece is excellent for trade. 5 full stack armies are nothing at this point, later on I have to raise lots of navies and bribe everyone so that my finances don't get too big. xD

  • I wonder why u didnt simply buy Massilla? As far as I can tell you have enough money to offer them.. Or isnt this possible in RTW yet? In M2TW I keep buying more and more regions, because I have so much money to offer.. Saves me quite a lot of military trouble, while still constantly expanding my empire..

  • EB should give Triarii a secondary weapon like a gladius when they engage infantry

  • ..... I enjoyed this.

  • great vid
