ill never get why this game gets shit on so much, I played trigger first and loved it but I like cross better, I think it had a much better plot.

@SkullcandifiedDj yay more butthurt fanboys. both games were great in their own right, CC did something different, and people act like squaresoft raped their parents. the game came out 12 years ago, no need to go apeshit now. if you didnt like it, keep it to yourself. its not Chrono Trigger 2, u gotta deal with it.

on the other hand, both are definitely my favourite videogames of all time

The plots are as heavily linked as the reproductive habits of an ant and a toad.

Again, with variety comes less sole character plots and stories, but each character in Chrono Cross was unique and had its own feel and special moves and that made mixing and matching good fun. The story in Cross is sweet and the music is by far the best thing that my ears have ever heard (besides the noise of me cranking over porn - Ohhh yer).

Chrono Cross is one of the greatest RPGs i've ever played, if not the greatest. Same goes with Star Ocean 3, Dark Chronicle, FF10 (all final fantasies inclusive for that matter) and many others. I had the liberty of playing Chrono Cross before CT and to be honest, Cross takes the cake with ease. Trigger was good but I couldn't get into it as much as Cross. People only complain because they didn't get an exact replica of Trigger. Cross had variety, which Trigger didn't.

@andoc ..Square made Chrono Cross, not squenix. See its when you say things that are so far away from the actual way things are, that makes it hard to take you seriously. ALl ive seen is you insulting teh game, and then me, and neither time did you actually address my complaints in anyhting but the most general terms, ones you could pick up skimming google.

You still dont acknowledge that "slapping the Chrono name on" makes no sense since the plots are so heavily linked.

@etherraichu I am aware of Radical Dreamers, I am aware of what is it about and I am aware of how it expanded the story of Chrono Trigger and I am aware RD is a visual novel with very little gameplay. @andoc Did you know, that this is actually the THIRD game in the series? Oh yes. the sequal was for the super famicom, and very few have played it. A large amount of the Chrono Cross story, comes from an expansion of that game. Its called Radical Dreamers. It is a direct sequal, and it *DOESNT* use the Chrono name, at all.

Basically, you're about as wrong as is humanely possible. Well, unless you dont know who Kid is. This was also established in Radical Dreamers.

This game is wonderful. The music is great, and no other game sounds like this, the settings are..absolutely stunning, And my favorite part of all? The dread and anticipation as you finally reach the location you saw in the dream...

And then it happens. Serge speaks. It is at that moment that you realize everything has gone so terribly wrong. And it is a great ride.
