Lol at first i thought that had serious pitch-bending problems.

Although this sonata is pianistically close to early Beethoven, this is played crassly and shows that he's either clueless as to style or trying to impress with an overly fast tempo and glib manner. "It's not as bad as Lang Lang" isn't much of a compliment. Haydn deserves far better than this.

I just wanted to point out that the piano that Haydn wrote this for didn't damper the sound half as quickly as modern pianos. I played a Broadwood and the sustained passages of this piece sounded perfect with the pedal all the way down. Also, the slow single-note melody in Beethoven's Tempest sonata makes perfect sense played on a time period instrument. He wasn't writing for Steinway & Sons/any other modern piano.

@otonanoC hey! im learning this pice and the score says "open pedal" in two diferent parts

@jre58591 I REALLY HATE LANG LANG, but this is too fast.

No no, the tempo is great. Haydn wrote this sonata (at least the first movements) in a way that is almost everything noises, effects, timbres. great playing!
-
@otonanoC play it better and post your version without the sustain pedal
-
@otonanoC "open pedal" Haydn wrote it..
