cannabis is non toxic,non addictive, and if it causes any damage to a persons health it is very minimal. he thinks that people are going to misuse a medical marijuana system by providing and growing for people who dont really need it. but with an effective nation wide system it would be easy to root out people misusing the system . and people are going to smoke and grow marijuana regardless of its legality

He doesn't like hemp anymore because you can make biofuel from it. His friends at Haliburton would lose a hell of alotta dough and he would lose his kickbacks. You can also make more durable paper, (the constitution is written on hemp) car panels and other plastics. Cannabis seed is the only known source of omega 3, 6 and 9 in one place. Cannabis seed oil can also kill cancerous tumors. If cannabis were a person, society owes it a huge apology for besmirching it's name for 85 years! Wake up!

Here's the real reasons he doesn't want it legal...1. He's a Republican 2. His wife owns a beer distributorship, and the breweries don't want ANY compitition from a better and safer buzz.....It's true that we can't count on many politicians for help with legalization, but you can always count on the Republicans to be total dicks about it....That's why the road to MJ legalization comes from ballot initiatives, and just goes around the useless politicians.

While they are the same plant, the differences are clearly seen in the size of the stocks and the THC levels. His joke at the end was very elementary and proved his ignorance. You don't smoke hemp, it has been genetically weakened to contain less THC and to be used in industrial growth throughout Europe. But because of his ignorance, I would let him try to smoke hemp...it's a guarantee he would know the difference then.

The thing that makes me laugh is the fact he believes hemp and marijuana are the same thing. Industrial hemp, Cannabis sativa L. subsp. sativa var. sativa, contains around 0.3% THC (this is low enough to prevent someone from even coming close to trying to get 'high' off of it). The marijuana plant used for recreational or medical purposes...is purposefully grown to have THC levels from 5-20%. How can he even have this opinion on this medical marijuana subject, if he doesn't know the difference?
