As for German Pils: I like Jever, really bitter, drink as cold as you can during a hot summer night, just perfect!

+1 on weihenstephaner being a lager, not pils. not to mention it gets a great rating on beer advocate, its a great beer. also watched some of your other vids on you guys slammin on dogfish heads ipa's. wtf? not sure i like your opinions on beer guys....

wow that's unusual, I would have thought the Weihenstephaner would have made a very good pils. I've had their Heffeweizen and it's absolutely fantastic...I'll have to see for myself.

You're judging Weihenstephan Original as a Pils, but it's not. It's their "Lager Beer," just a simple light lager. Weihenstephan does make an actual Pils, which I had at the Weihenstephan brewery in Freising, Bavaria, and it was very very good. That's like saying Chimay Red is bad IPA. Rate it for what it really is guys! Regardless, I'm a long time brewer, so hit me up for beer talk anytime.

Paulaner for pilsner is like USA for mexican food, come on... you could have tried the Bitbutger, Becks, Krombacher, Berliner Pilsner and many many others... not the wors pils from Germany....

We have both tried it. I (Ryan) believe the fresher you can get it the better. Don't bother if its more than 6 months old. Otherwise a very drinkable pilsner.

I (Andrew, on the right) have. It is quite tasty, and I love how Trumer decided to not just import their beer, but instead to open their own brewery in Berkeley, CA. Very good stuff it is.
