The Drop Off at Verde Island is the most spectacular dive site near Puerto Galera in the Philippines. A deep drop off with clear water where current can sometimes be strong, it is populated by schooling jacks, red tooth triggerfish, snappers, fusilliers,... Also found in abundance are moray eels, lionfish, scorpionfish, nudibranchs and the occasional frogfish. It is also the best place in the area to spot the banded seasnake. It is ususally done as a 2 or 3 dives trip with a barbecue break between dives on the picturesque Verde Island.
