1. It is pronounced "adho muka svanasana", NOT "adho muka shivasana".
2. walk your hands forward about 2 hands length! You'll find more benefits for your shoulders and back that way.
3. Don't bother with a blanket.. that will get in the way if you are planning to transition from there to other poses, not to mention, it doesn't give your heels anything to work towards. It is not vital that the entire soles of the feet are connecting with something.
