  • Thanks for all the informative videos.

I've found it a good practice to snap a couple pics with a digital camera before I do disassembly. Even if it seems obvious at the time you take it apart, if some time passes before reassembly its easy to forget where things go.

  • @mkmnk yes that is a good idea, i do that from time to time

  • I just finished rebuilding this same carb--thanks to you--and I just finished connecting the linkages back up correctly-again thanks to you. Thank you!I sure appreciate and enjoy your videos.

  • @brubakes i think most do it by ear .

But you can hook up a tachometer for the rpm.

  • Thanks for all your videos!! I have used a lot of your videos and learned a lot!! I have the same engine on my snow blower as in this video, and I basically used your videos to replace the fuel line, carburetor and put in a shut off valve after my snowblower failed to start. However it still won't start and I don't think I have compression because I did the thumb test and my thumb wasn't being pushed off the spark plug hole. Don't know what to do now.

  • How do you know when your idel and rmp screws are properlly adjusted?

  • Thank you Dony watching your videos helps a lot.

  • Great info thanks! So why does the throttle linkage have so many different holes in it?

  • Thank you , I used your viedo to repair my linkage ....Perfect !!

  • Also now that I have it running like a champ how do I know it is running on the correct a/f mixture. It doesn't smoke and doesn't miss but how do I know if its running a little lean? I simply left the settings the new carb came with.

  • Hey man thank you so much for this video. My Simplicity 870 was not running so I put a brand new carb on and the thing would idle fine but I couldn't get it to increase engine speed. I thought I was screwed until I found this video and learned I simply connected the linkage from the governor arm into the wrong whole on the carb. I also learned what all of the screws do. Thanks a million!

  • Where is your accent from?

    greetings from Jersey (the newer)

  • Nice video, Thanx man!
