my hands rested on the curve of the kitchen work table surface. Kate and Lia where sat at the table, one each end eating bowls of chocolate cereal. My teeth bit into the bright green apple and they looked up at the sudden noise.
"what are we going to do todayyyyy? Its ten o clock. Why are we up so early?! Can't i go sleep?" Kate's voice piped up, but me and Lia had bigger things on our minds. Tonight we were dragging her to the masquerade ball i had been invited to by the stranger at my gig.
"Stop moaning. Eat, Kate" Lia's instructions were followed and as Kate finished she got up and put her bowl into the dishwasher as loudly as possible.
"What is up with you two? i smell secrets." Kate was always like this when she felt left out. She made a deal about it, and knew she'd be told eventually.
"Were going the salon. dont put any make up or whatever on." My plan was clear - Get made up by the professionals, Get the perfect dress, Go to the ball, and then meet the boy i'd been dreaming about.
"Whats the occasion?" Kate knew there had to be a catch.
"NO CATCH! NO OCCASION. yet." Lia winked and kate laughed and pounded through to my living room. "She's gonna wanna know what this is about in approximatly two minutes, you know Jen." Lia was right, she could read Kate all too well. The sound of the LoveBug intro was unmistakeable, so we rushed to see their beautiful faces on the TV screen. Kate sighed and pushed herself face forward into the massive cream colored leather couch. "HSSSSSSSH SMMMMM MAZZZZZZZZZZZZZE."

The short black dress rested on my legs perfectly, the tan from the secret trip to america was still contained in my skin, but i could tell i didn't stand out like i hoped i would. Lia and Kate walked quietly behind me, their glasses half empty.
"JENNA!"
My eyes looked in every direction, but i couldnt see the boy anywhere. A tap on my back made me swing round with a terrible force, and my long, loose hair whipped across someones face. i turned back around without hearing what kate or lia wanted to say, and saw the most gorgeous boy ever. His dark brown hair lightly bobbed around his face, like it was dancing, and a popular song started playing. His hand grabbed mine and he led me away from the crowds of people that were growing with every minute that passed. I didn't know who this boy was, or why he was so adiment to see me. My mind tried to come up with a million reasons but it couldn't, it was going to fast for me to think straight. My shoes switched onto a softer path and they got sprinkled with the dew that blanketed the dull grass.
"who are you?" my voice came out as a whisper, and my whole body started to tremble. The music from inside the massive building could still be heard from the beautiful gardens and it helped to calm my heart.
My eyes closed as i felt my head getting heavier and heavier. I didnt know what my body was doing, or what my heart was feeling.

shocked. o well, good on the girl. i actually do sorta look up to her. She's been through alot, and she's breaking away from the disney image, which is good for her. still shocked though!
