Irish history with Pat Flannery. This was filmed 6/4/07. A very interesting talk on the system of law that was native to Ireland and existed all the way up to the 1600's when the Gaelic nobility was finally overthrown by English forces. • @Freshhhhh1982 Capitalism and it's crappy laws is why Australia happened. What a shame. I hate england, the british and other people who are minded in that way.

    Christanity, British Imperialism, Rome suck.

  • 9:37 is brilliant. Like how O'Connell got emancipation. Cheeky, witty and brave.

  • This is a real eye-opener. Many of my Irish friends have a deep love that goes way beyond nationalism. I'm beginning to get an inkling of what this is all about.

  • Capitalism is foreign to our land.

  • Awesome story at the end there.

  • So it sounds like the Irish loved their law on the same level that the Jews did, even though the origins of the two cultures' laws was different.

  • I just wish the lighting was a little better so I could see Mr. Flannery's face.
