Fair to look at the death counts from 1987 to 2008, before the Gaza conflict. Palestinian Dead - 6497, Israeli Dead - 1484, then add operation 'Cast Lead' where the death toll is Palestine 1417, versus Israel 13. These numbers clearly reveal who is the biggest aggressor, also we can add blockades that prevent food and medicine, water shortage, demolition of homes and farms.... really hard to stay impartial.

Although taking my argument to a more serious level, there have certainly been reasons to believe that this has influenced U.S policy towards Israel.
