The first film - MESRINE: KILLER INSTINCT, opens in theaters on August 13, 2010. Part 2 - MESRINE: PUBLIC ENEMY NUMBER ONE, hits theaters September 10, 2010. From Music Box Films.

MESRINE: KILLER INSTINCT introduces us to Jacques Mesrine (Vincent Cassel), a loyal son and dedicated soldier back home and living with his parents after serving in the Algerian War. Soon he is seduced by the neon glamour of sixties Paris and the easy money it presents. Mentored by Guido (Gerald Depardieu) Mesrine turns his back on middle class law-abiding and soon moves swiftly up the criminal ladder. After pulling off an audacious heist he and his lover Jeanne (Cecile de France) flee to Canada where the opportunity of one big payout lures him out of hiding and propels his towards international notoriety.

  • It DOES sound like Black strobes " I'm a man" ...but the lyrics are a little different. What is it? Just a version for the film, with lyrics like " highway man" and " gun in my pocket" thrown in for the trailer?

I had never heard of this untill I saw the preview on the Dragon tat DVDs (swedish)

  • Well of course, sebatski. What else could they be? Although I'd hesitate to call them faggots. And as arbiters of taste they might have more to offer than American rednecks. By the way, I did finally get to see these two films earlier this year. Very entertaining, but I'm not sure there's much more to them than that. Let's just say they had their moments.

  • @Guy4755 using your logic, one could say that french faggots are french faggots, amirite?

  • @Guy4755 Both movies are great,part I and II

  • I was going to see this movie this weekend at the Main Theatre in Royal Oak, Michigan, it was SUPPOSED to have premiered October 1st. Well, for some reason the powers-that-be pulled it, it's not showing here after all. I would like to see it, but I guess it'll have to be on DVD. Sometimes this town sucks. Not all the time, but definitely sometimes.

  • @Guy4755 hahaha I know, actually they dislike most foreign movies,I was commeting because sounds funny, this movie looks really good,it is good, right??

  • @folladordeprostis Since when are American rednecks arbiters of taste when it comes to films of interest? American rednecks are American rednecks, in other words no big deal. And I seriously doubt that any of them have seen this because, after all, they are American rednecks.

  • Clearly, the song is not "I'm A Man". It does sound like Black Strobe though.

  • damn im excited to see this movie :)

  • @ILLESTwhiteNI66A911 american rednecks who saw this movie said it sucks
