Footage from on board 3002, which has been out of use since 1972 and returned to carrying passengers October 2007 at Aston Manor Road Transport Museum.

  • @islandtraction I believe this was a lightweight experimental vehicle hence the Gardner 5LW as opposed to the normal 6LW

    I rode on her most weeks 1959-66 on the 31A/32 or 1A routes. She was different certainly to the others at Acock's Green Garage Any one remember the 1631-45 RT's? They were really special! Thanks for posting

  • That Gardner 5LW sound is unmistakable.

  • I only just remember these buses being in service with their pre-selective gearboxes mainly on the 11 outer circle route at the Fox & Goose. I always liked to sit behind the driver whenever possible. Its great to see the workhorses still on the road in presevation. Great vid
